Group Meeting:  We had to take a little time to catch the morning class up to the afternoon because of the late start day yesterday.  If your child is in the afternoon, please read the blog post from yesterday as well as the story for today.

Small Groups:  The activities for this week are listed in yesterday's post.  The schedule for today was:

Story:  Today, I read the story The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza by Philomen Sturges.  This story is similar to the original with a few exceptions.  The Little Red Hen is hungry again, but this time decides to make pizza.  Will her animal friends help?  Will they get to eat pizza?  Ask your child to tell you.

Large Group:  The children compared the two stories of The Little Red Hen.  We made a list of things that were the same and things that were different.

Letter Learning:  The letter for the morning class was Oo.  In the afternoon, we moved on to the letter Pp.

Snacks:  The snack persons for the morning class were Lauren and Meier.  Lauren brought strawberries and Teddy Grahams.  Meier brought cheese and crackers.  They both brought juice.  The afternoon class snack person was Melanie.  She brought apples and juice.  Thank you, Lauren, Meier, and Melanie!
