Group Meeting:  The children danced to the video "Zap It" to start our day.  They decided that they would like to see their grown-ups do this activity tomorrow when we start "Bring a Grown-up to School Day".  We'll see how it goes!

Small Groups:  The activities for this week are listed in Monday's post.  The schedule for today was:
Activity #1 Green Group
Activity #2 Red Group
Activity #3 Yellow Group

Story:  The book we read today was Bread Comes to Life by George Levenson.  This is a non-fiction book about bread from wheat seeds to a finished loaf.  The photos in this book are wonderful.  We could see how our wheat seeds are going to grow roots and stems.  The recipe used in the book is very similar to what we used when we made bread.  One ingredient was different.  The book recipe used honey.  We used something else sweet.  Ask your child to tell you what was different.

Large Group:  The children participated in relay races.  They ran, galloped, skipped, and hopped.

Letter Learning:  The letter for today was Ww.

Snacks:  The morning class snack person was Brooke S.  She brought pizza Goldfish and juice.  The afternoon snack person was Cameron.  He brought Scooby Snacks and juice.  Thank you, Brooke and Cameron!

We are ready for our Bring a Grown-up to School Day!  We hope that the grown-ups are ready to play!
