Group Meeting: Being that it was Picture Day, we held a brief discussion on how pictures were going to be taken including the class picture. Once we started, picture taking went very quickly. Mrs. Geertz said that all of the children were great smilers!
Small Groups: The activities for this week are listed on Monday's post. The schedule for today was:

Story: Our story for today was Rumble in the Jungle by Giles Andreae. In this book, animals from the jungle tell us a little bit about what they like to do. The words are written in poetry form, so there are lots of rhyming words. Ask your child to tell you about their favorite animal.
Large Group: Following the story, we did "Animal Action" which is a movement song in which we pretend to be various animals.
Letter Learning: Our letter for today was L.
Snacks: The morning class snack person was Julia. She brought Goldfish and juice. The afternoon snack person was Jaxon. He brought Maple French Toast bagels, cream cheese, and juice. Thank you!
Show and Tell bags were passed out to the Green Group today. Next Thursday, the Red Group will have a turn, followed by the Yellow Group the following Thursday.
