Group Meeting: All week long, we have been saying the Pledge of Allegiance together while the Queen or King holds the flag. Even though it has some pretty big words in it, we are starting to pick up a few here and there.
Small Groups: The children made the last rotation of activities today. If you missed them, they are listed in Tuesday's post.
Story: The story for today was Interrupting Chicken by David Ezra Stein. It is time for Little Chicken to go to bed. She would like Papa to read a bedtime story to her. Little Chicken gets so excited about the story that she interrupts Papa with her own ending. Papa asks her to try to wait until the end of the story. After three stories being interrupted, Papa asks Little Chicken to make up her own story to tell him. Ask your child to tell you what happens when she makes up a story to tell Papa Chicken.
Large Group: Just about every Thursday, we will have a "Let's Find Out" magazine to do. This is a Scholastic program similar to Weekly Readers. What I like about these magazines is that there is a informative video to go along with it that we can view on the Promethean Board. Please take a few minutes to look at the magazine for today about kindness and help your child complete the page on the back.
Snacks: The snack person for the morning class was Brooke R. She brought cheese sticks, applesauce and juice. The afternoon snack was provided by Callie. She brought cheese sticks, carrots, and juice. Thank you!
