Group Meeting:  We are enjoying books written by Dr. Seuss this week.  At Group Meeting, I read Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?  The children mimicked the sounds that Mr. Brown can make.

Small Groups:  The activities for this week are listed in yesterday's post.  The schedule for this week is a little mixed up as we are working on some art show projects.

Story:  At story time, I read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss.  In this book, Dr. Seuss uses his wonderful imagination to create unusual animals and pairs them with great rhyming words.  Some of the words become tongue twisters that the children tried to repeat over and over.

Large Group:  Yesterday, I read the story Ten Apples Up on Top by Dr. Seuss.  Today, we used bean bags to represent the apples from the story and tried to balance them on our head.   The children raced across the room trying to get as many "apples" as they could to balance on their head.

Snacks:  The morning class had Scooby Snacks and juice brought by Spencer.  The afternoon class had graham crackers and juice brought by Miriam.  Thank you, Spencer and Tula!

We are getting very close to meeting our reading goal.  At last count, we only needed 50 more books.
