Ellen Stoll Walsh

Group Meeting:  The author/illustrator for this week is Ellen Stoll Walsh.  I read Mouse Paint which is about three little mice that find three jars of paint.  When they play in the paint, they discover new colors.

Small Groups:  The children painted pictures of mice using their fingers to mix the colors.  These are drying and will be taken home tomorrow.

Story:  At story time, I read Where is Jumper? by Ellen Stoll Walsh.  Five little mice are walking through the forest.  Suddenly, Jumper disappears.  Where is he?  The children had to look carefully on the page to find Jumper hiding.  This book uses directional words such as over, under, between, inside, etc.

Large Group:  The children went to the Outdoor Classroom.

Snacks:  The morning class had breadsticks, cheese, blueberries, and juice brought by Brooke R.  The afternoon class had breadsticks, cheese, and juice brought by Aiden.  Thank you, Brooke and Aiden!

We are counting down the days until the Art Show!
