Group Meeting: The children watched a video on migration. We learned that in our area, ducks, geese, robins, and some other birds are flying south where it is warmer. However, some birds like eagles and juncos are arriving to spend the winter here.
Small Groups: The activities for this week are listed in Monday's post. The schedule for today was:
Activity #1 Green Group
Activity #2 Red Group
Activity #3 Yellow Group
Story: The story for today was Giggle, Giggle, Quack by Doreen Cronin. This is a story that is part of the Read It Again program. In this story, Farmer Brown is going on vacation and has asked his brother Bob to watch the animals. Farmer Brown warns him to watch Duck. Duck has a pencil and changes the farmers instructions to meet the wants of the other animals. The animals are served pizza for dinner, are given bubble baths, and are allowed to watch movies. What will Farmer Brown say? I'm not sure the children got the idea of the duck rewriting the notes. We'll read it again tomorrow and see what concepts they pick up.
Large Group: The morning class played "Are You Sleeping, Mr. Bear?" The afternoon class played a circle game of following directions. They both were fun!
Letter Learning: The letter for today was Cc.
Snacks: The morning snack person was Benjamin. He brought Goldfish, grapes, and milk. The afternoon snack person was Brody. He brought a cheddar snack mix and juice. Thank you, Benjamin and Brody!
