Group Meeting:  The children helped me make a list of things that we learned at the Food Pantry.  We will use this list at small group time.

Small Groups:  Because of the shortened week, we will be doing one activity instead of three small groups.  The children drew pictures in their journals of things that we saw at the Food Pantry.  We used the list from Group Meeting to help us remember.

Story:  Our story for today was Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving by Dav Pilkey.  On the day before Thanksgiving, a group of children are on a field trip to a turkey farm.  The children love playing with the turkeys until someone notices an ax by the barn door.  When they find out what it is for, they become very upset.  What will happen to the turkeys?  Ask your child to tell you how this story ends.

Large Group:  The children made a turkey using shapes.  The body and head are circles.  The feet and beak are triangles.  The feathers are rectangles.

Letter Learning:  We are taking a small break from Letter Learning, but will get back to it next week.

Snacks:  The snack helper for the morning class was Rifa.  She brought crackers, grapes, and juice.  The afternoon helper was Miriam.  She brought crackers and juice.  Thank you, Rifa and Miriam!

Book orders are due tomorrow!
