We're off to a great start!

Group Meeting:  We started our day with a shape matching game on the Promethean board.  Then, we danced to "If You're a Kid: Animal Edition" by Harry Kindergarten Music.

Small Groups:  The children were introduced to the Block Area, Music Center, and Reading Area.  There are so many things to do during preschool.  We want to be sure that the children are aware of all that they can do.

Story:  The story for today was Quinito, Day and Night by Ina Compiano.  Quinito is a boy whose day is full of opposites.  His brother is tall.  His sister is short.  His parents have long hair.  He and his brother have short hair.  Quinito tells us all about his day and his family in this book.

Large Group:  Zoey and Max were back today to tell the children about remembering to raise their hands when wanting a turn to talk.  When we follow this rule, everyone gets a turn to hear what the children want to say.

Snacks:  The children had Teddy Grahams and juice.  We practiced scooping, passing the bowl, and pouring our drinks.

No School on Monday.  Enjoy the Labor Day Holiday!
